WOW! I thought that you were the most talented artist 2 years ago when I was lucky enough to see some of your peices, and now... I'm convinced of it. :)
This is Emily Parsons by the way, I don't know if you really remember me or not but Mrs. Nihill told us about your blog and I was excited to see what you were working on. Nihill mentions and compliments you in AP all the time, just to let you know. :) But anyways, I can really tell that you've grown in your style so much. Your peices that I've seen have really compelling perspective and professional craftsmanship. Really. I love the watercolor portrait of the woman - that's awesome! :)
Well, I know you say that you think you're in a rut, but I think that you're still crafting quality peices, even through your "artist's block". Keep on going!! Have fun and good luck girl. You're a real inspiration.
Hey Emily, I dont know if you'll ever check back on this post, but I talked to my mom today..and she told me that she had talked to your mom at a Parade. Were you the girl doing comission portraits during the same time I was? I hope so..It's hard for me to remember.
I'm glad you enjoy the things i've done/am doing, and that I can inspire you in some way. You should get your blog going, share your work with others.
I want to stop by Mrs. Nihill Taylor's sometime, but it looks like it won't be until the end of the year, and I think I should have a lot to update you guys on..it will be good.
