So i spent some time yesterday making this for my grandmother. She hasn't been well lately, and it really is only a matter of time. I wanted to make her something special from the heart, so I did this.
She loves Red Cardinals and has been collecting everything she can of them, so i wanted to do a little pen and ink drawing. The background is a little fudged, but I really didnt plan this out at all (i just started in with ink, first messing around, but then i just kept going). I also wanted to write her a letter, and have all of this presented in a really well put-together way.
The outside is a flap that holds and protects all of it, then there is gray 'card' that i glued to the inside of flap, which incases the picture of the bird and the letter. The letter is two white folded pieces of thick paper, which gives me up to 6 pages to write on. I then bound it with a band of paper that fits right around it.
Now the hard part is what to say.
